I believe therapy is most impactful when it is collaborative, rooted in curiosity, and responsive to each person’s experience. My work is inspired by resilience, the body’s capacity to heal, and the belief that people already carry what they need – they may just need support connecting with it.

I take a client-centered approach to therapy, recognizing that each person holds a deep understanding of their own experiences and needs. My role is to collaborate with clients in a way that honors their lived experience, supports self-reflection, and fosters greater awareness, balance, and connection. I work alongside clients to explore patterns in relationships, navigate periods of stagnation, regulate emotions, and reshape their perception of themselves and others.

My work is informed by somatic-based practices, mindfulness, EMDR, experiential, and narrative therapies. For the past five years, I have served as a peer supporter with the University of Utah Burn Center. As a trauma survivor myself, I know how deeply trauma can impact emotional and psychological well-being. I’ve learned that every survivor’s experience is unique, and how to listen and honor where they are in their healing process. This experience has reinforced my belief that progress is not linear and that each person deserves to be met with care, patience, and respect. Before pursuing a social work degree, I spent over 15 years addressing social/environmental inequities and the climate crisis. I am acutely aware of the toll these difficult issues take on our mental health.

My goal as a therapist is to support people in dealing with the disconnection, anxiety, and grief that comes with navigating these uncertain times. I also recognize that everyone’s experiences are unique and influenced by systems of privilege and oppression. I practice cultural humility, am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and honor the intersectionality of all individuals to provide a safe space to meet your therapeutic goals.

Therapy is a collaborative process that honors lived experience, supports self-understanding, and creates space for meaningful change.

Clients often describe our work as collaborative, grounding, and paced with care. I aim to create a space where you feel seen and respected, and where therapy adapts to your needs rather than the other way around.

I approach trauma with the understanding that healing is not linear and that safety and trust come first. I integrate somatic awareness, EMDR, and mindfulness to support both emotional processing and nervous system regulation, while honoring each client’s unique experience.

My work is deeply informed by supporting trauma survivors, engaging in social and environmental justice work, and witnessing how systemic stressors impact mental health. I’m continually inspired by people’s capacity to find meaning, agency, and connection amid difficult circumstances.

Not at all. Therapy can be a place to feel uncertain, ask questions, and explore what you don’t yet have words for. You’re welcome exactly where you are.

I often incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based practices to help clients tune into physical sensations, emotional cues, and patterns of stress or safety, supporting deeper awareness and regulation.
