WE ALL HAVE THE STRENGTH WITHIN US TO FACE AND DEFEAT OUR DEMONS, BUT SOMETIMES WE NEED SOME HELP FINDING IT.

I experienced religious trauma in my youth and have been lucky enough to have been able to face the challenges it left me with. In Utah there are high numbers of people who have experienced religious trauma, especially in the LGBTQIA+ community. I want to use my experiences and expertise to help others find their way.

It all depends on the individual and what types of challenges they are facing. What might be very helpful for one person could be useless for another.

I have seen therapists who really helped me through some dark times. Because of this I have a strong desire to do the same for others. To put it another way, I have a strong desire to pay it forward.

Some progress beats no progress. Sometimes in therapy big breakthroughs happen that can be life changing, but often improvements from therapy come in small increments and feel like they aren’t coming fast enough. When this happens it is important to remember that making small gains is better than giving up and not making any gains at all.
