About
Why Work With Salt Psych
Salt Psychotherapy is a woman and queer owned group practice based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. As we focus on delivering telehealth services across all of Utah, we also focus on celebrating the vibrant diversity of human experience.
Our mission is to provide a brave, inclusive space for individuals to explore all aspects of their identities without judgment or shame.
Our company values include being queer affirming, sex positive, and being identity & culture affirming.
We are proudly queer affirming, committed to creating an environment where members of the LGBTQIA+ community feel safe, seen, and empowered on their journeys of self-discovery and healing. Our therapists are well-versed in supporting and celebrating queer and transgender clients.
We believe in radical celebration of all cultures and identities. As a part of our commitment to continued learning, each clinician at Salt Psychotherapy engages in trainings that challenge us to always be increasing our cultural competence. It is impossible to attain complete knowledge nor rid all inherent biases, which is why we are so passionate about continually seeking new understanding. Our practice uplifts self-love, boundary-setting, and rejecting oppressive societal standards.
We see sexuality as an essential part of being human – not something to be feared or repressed. With a sex-positive approach, we provide an open, judgment-free space to explore fears, desires, shame, and intimacy as paths to wholeness.
You deserve to feel empowered in who you are, not “despite” your background or lived experience, but because of it. Our trauma-informed care nurtures self-actualization and helps individuals heal from systemic oppression, abuse, and adverse experiences.
We’re here to guide you in befriending all parts of yourself – the sexual, the somatic, the self-actualized. Our therapists integrate mind, body, and compassion to foster meaningful growth and lasting change.
If you’re seeking an affirmative community to embark on your journey of self-rediscovery and thriving, welcome. We’re glad you’re here.
